Stave Puzzles

Stave makes fancy hand-cut wooden puzzles in Vermont. Many of them are tricky on purpose. They cost a lot new, so people often look for them secondhand.

What to look for

Complete or not
Ask if every piece is there. Stave pieces are custom-cut, so a missing piece is hard to replace.
Condition
Check for chipped or scratched pieces and a damaged box.
Paperwork
Keep any papers, cards or notes that came with the puzzle. They help show what it is.
Selling one
Some puzzle shops buy used Stave puzzles. One is RAR Puzzles, which has a page for selling Stave puzzles.
